Chris Appleton and Lukas Gage may have looked in love on their wedding day – but six months on, relations between the pair have soured and allegations of infidelity and “controlling” behavior are believed to be behind their shocking split.
Chris, 40, filed for divorce on Monday, citing “irreconcilable differences,” less than a year after he tied the knot with the Euphoria actor — and just days after the ceremony on Reality series “The Kardashians” aired.
But sources close to 28-year-old Lukas claim he was the one who ended the relationship, with his partner’s alleged “controlling” tendencies allegedly fueling his decision.
“Luke broke it off because Chris was controlling and possessive and he really thought he was the most important person on earth,” an insider told exclusively.

The source said the pair had been “acting together” but suggested their open relationship may have caused a rift between them.
They also claimed that Chris “filed the complaint first to save face” and “conveniently waited until the Kardashian wedding episode aired,” adding, “Everyone thinks this is so shady.”

According to divorce records, the former couple’s separation date is listed as November 10, and documents show that they also had a temporary marriage.
The source said: “They had a marriage and the breakup is easy considering it’s only been six months since the marriage. “At the moment they’re not getting along at all.”
The estranged couple tied the knot in Las Vegas in April, with Kim Kardashian, whose hair Chris styles, officiating the surprise wedding. Shania Twain serenaded the couple.
The ceremony was documented on the Hulu series The Kardashians just last week and left fans shocked.
The couple married in front of just six guests at Little White Chapel after applying for a marriage license in Clark County.

The estranged couple made their romance public in February, sharing vacation photos from the St. Regis Punta Mita Resort in Mexico.

He also has a recurring role as Lars Olmstead in the fifth season of the dark comedy Fargo, premiering later this year on FX.
Chris looked somber as he walked around West Hollywood without his wedding ring on Tuesday.
