The X Factor’s Katie Waissel took a swipe at Rebecca Ferguson on Saturday over her apology to Simon Cowell.
Rebecca, 40, said she received a personal apology from Simon after revealing she was “bullied” by music industry figures.
But Katie, 37, wasn’t exactly impressed by the news, writing on the social media platform…
“Next is the ‘statement’ – #inserteyerollhere # #thegoodfight #dayoneandrefusetobedone.”
Later that evening, Katie revisited Rebecca’s interview in a rambling video with the caption: “To be 100% transparent I will be broadcasting this live on video.”

Rebecca, 40, said she received a personal apology from Simon after revealing she was “bullied” by two influential figures in the music industry
Katie said: “It’s really bloody disappointing… It’s just bizarre. “These people we’re back with are just disgusting. I’m not talking about Rebecca, I’m talking about the larger establishment.
“Rebecca wrote on TikTok that “no one else was talking about anything” and I was like, “Wow.” That’s not cool.
“When everyone gets these apologies from Simon Cowell, I’m like, ‘Oh hello, where’s mine?'” He won’t apologize to the people he really screwed over, because that would mean taking responsibility for wrongdoing would admit.
“So if someone gets an apology from Cowell, that means he controls the narrative in that regard.” And I don’t have any wankers. I don’t even want an apology. I’d rather wipe my ass with fucking blades than get an apology from this piece of shit.
“So good luck to those who received an apology because you just signed a non-disclosure agreement, which is just ridiculous.”
Responding to Katie’s comments, Rebecca told Web: “I love Katie and wish her all the best.”
“When I launched my campaign for an independent standards body called CIISA, I invited Katie, along with many other strong women, to the roundtables because I believed her voice was important. I believe it is important for women to support and encourage women.”
“I have supported Katie and will continue to do so. ‘My position has not changed, I wish Katie all the best, she has been through a lot, I always wish her healing!’
Rebecca said she received a personal apology from Simon after revealing she was “bullied” by music industry figures.
Last year the former X Factor contestant, who was runner-up on the show in 2010, opened up about the “abuse” she suffered in the music industry and claimed her life had become a living hell after she got involved with the pair Bosses had fallen out.
The 36-year-old singer claims her life was controlled as she was given medication and lay in bed at night being told who she could go out and spend time with.

Pop star Rebecca said she was so unwell at one point she collapsed repeatedly. She was told to fake her health so she could travel home after flying abroad for her work duties as she tried to recover.
The actress said she received an apology from The X Factor boss Simon in 2019 after he also had a bad experience with the two characters, but Rebecca said she was disappointed it wasn’t made public at the time.
According to the Mirror, she said: “I received an apology from Simon. “He invited me to his home in Holland Park and said he was sorry for the way I had been treated and that he wished he had come sooner stepped in to make sure I was taken care of.
“He said, ‘I can see this bothers you.’ These people were bad to me too, and I’m sorry I let that happen, and I’m sorry I didn’t intervene.
“For a moment I accepted his apology. He shook my hand and said, “We’ll sort it out.” I think it was his way of calming the storm. But no one has publicly apologized to me. “You left a question mark over my head, which I think is wrong.”
She added: “There was a degree of ownership because I ended up going on Simon’s show.” The contracts I entered into were under his supervision. I think he had a responsibility.’
A representative for Simon declined to comment when contacted by Web.

Last year she gave a detailed account of the situation on TikTok: “A few years ago I had a problem with two really big people in the music industry and my life was hell from the day I decided to stand up for myself on earth.” and don’t take any BS.
“My life in the music industry became hell and I tried a lot to talk about it…”
“I really pissed off two people in the music industry who had quite a bit of power and influence and could hinder my career.”
Rebecca did not identify the people.
She continued: “One of my albums, particularly the album Freedom (2013), was blocked in some international territories, and one of those territories was the US.
“To my US fans on TikTok: It’s been a few years since the ban was lifted and Freedom was finally available for digital download, and that was because I fought for it because it was actually banned…”
“Some tours were canceled and certain promotional tours in the US were canceled as well. “Basically, I fell out with those people and that had a huge impact on my career.”
She continued through tears: “I can honestly say that even though I have now found happiness, the last nine years of my life have been excruciating.” I was petrified, I was so afraid of these people. I was going through hell and couldn’t properly and fully express what was happening to me because no one really understood what was happening. These people have targeted me for years and literally put me through hell.”
She continued: “Many of you saw me get into show business and that’s all I ever wanted to be.” Since I was a little girl, I dreamed of being a singer and I really wished that the experience I had could have been much nicer, and I’m not saying I didn’t have a great career, because I did, and I’m very grateful.
“But I wouldn’t wish the things that happened to me on my worst enemy.” It’s hard to watch these people get away with it.

“One of the things they did was I was only allowed to be in certain relationships or have certain relationships, and I had a lot of security guards with me many years ago because I faced certain threats, and my chief security guard was threatened with his job .” .
“They were told, ‘You have to ruin Rebecca’s relationships and if you don’t you will be fired.’
“Plus, everything I did was watched. I had no freedom to be myself. Absolutely everything that had to do with my life was micromanaged. This sounds really strange and silly, but literally I would lay down in bed. People put me to bed and I was given pills before bed.
“I honestly couldn’t tell you, and that’s the honest truth of God, I couldn’t tell you what I was given, I don’t know.” But I was given pills and put to bed after all my work had done.
“My whole life was regulated down to the smallest detail. It depends on who I’m allowed to date. I’ve been called out, I’ve been yelled at when I go out with someone, I’ve been yelled at like I’m a child…
“I feel like now is a good time to tell my story because the music industry needs to change, and in order for it to change, you need to look at yourself and you need to hear what’s happening to a lot of artists.”
“My whole life was controlled and unfortunately because of my schedule and probably the way I was treated, I started to get really, really sick.” One doctor actually said, “Rebecca had a complete mental and physical breakdown.”
“The doctor was very worried about me, but that didn’t stop me from working, and I was about to do an interview with Rolling Stone magazine, but the interview was canceled.” I collapsed in an elevator and my Head fell to the floor.
Last year, former X Factor contestant Rebecca gave an explosive account of the “abuse” she suffered in the music industry (pictured on The X Factor).
“And then I had another interview and I collapsed, my head hit the floor. I was unconscious. No ambulance was called for me, no ambulance.
“I went to the interview and apparently I was so incoherent and my speech was so distorted that they had to cancel and delete the interview, but that didn’t stop the people around me from tucking me into bed after my breakdown and despair “I work on the phone from bed.”
She said she collapsed three times on one trip and the airline wouldn’t let her fly until she recovered.
“People around me told me, ‘Rebecca, you have to act like you look good or you won’t go home,'” she said.
“So they didn’t call an ambulance for me, they watched me collapse several times, they propped me up in bed like I was a rag doll and made me work.”
“Many of you have heard stories like this from people like Britney, and there are many other artists who are speaking out now, and I’m just one of them, and I’m doing this to raise awareness.”
“I actually landed on the flight and it was a Virgin Airways flight and actually I would like to contact the doctor because there was a doctor on that flight and he was very concerned about how sick I was.”
“We were in high school and he spent his entire flight checking how I was doing and checking my vital signs. I would like to ask him to contact me in some way because that would be great.” .. I just want to thank you.

“I tried to break free from these people because obviously it was very clear that what was happening to me was abuse, actually I would call it a form of human trafficking.” You could call it luxury trafficking, like whatever you want, but I would call it a form of human trafficking.
“When I tried to free myself, anyone who tried to help me was threatened. I ended up getting very close to Elton John, who is absolutely amazing, and he was so, so kind to me and I have to thank him too. His team was so nice to me, but even Elton John’s team was threatened.
“When they tried to help me, when they tried to support me through this, they were disgusted by the way I was treated, they were completely disgusted. “Even when they tried to support me, they got calls and threats.”
She added: “There’s been a lot of people speaking out lately and it’s been really hard to watch because they’ve come out and finally got the courage to speak their truth and they’ve been ridiculed in the process.”
“And some of the things that are said are, ‘Oh, she’s crazy’ or ‘She wishes she had more fame,’ to me that’s just stupid, it’s just stupid.” Why would you come out and say these things happened to you? Then you would absolutely have to stand behind the door. And for fame? Really, come on.
“When these people come out and tell their story, don’t mock them, don’t dismiss them.” You don’t realize what’s going on behind the scenes, what they’ve faced.
“The NDAs (non-disclosure agreements), the bullying, the financial paralysis, how they suppress these stories.”
“There was a woman, I’m going to be really careful because it’s not my story to tell, but she was sexually abused and her story should come to light.” It didn’t come to light because one of the perpetrators, the who was involved in the cover-up, told a much bigger story to the press.

“By the way, I did an exclusive interview with a really big TV show that we all love. The producer called me and told me that my interview won’t happen and the reason is because it’s too obvious who it is. This is what she said to me: “If you come to this interview, it’s too obvious and we can’t change it.”
“That’s what people come across.”
“When you try to speak out, they find ways to ridicule you, mock you, make you look stupid, make you look silly.” Or they use their power, money and influence to change the story to bury.
In 2021, Ferguson contacted the Metropolitan Police to report allegations of harassment and coercive control against a senior male industry official.
The singer claimed she was targeted as she worked to build her career after coming second on ITV show The X Factor.
Rebecca, who agreed that the Mail on Sunday could reveal the complaint she made to the police, also met with Culture Secretary Oliver Dowden to discuss issues within the industry.
