Carla Prata, who became nationally known as one of the dancers of the extinct “Domingão do Faustão”, was the guest from the podcast Podcalizando. The 41yearold not only opened her heart as she opened up about her personal life, but also surprised everyone by revealing details of a case that transpired involving Carol Nakamura, Fausto Silva’s former assistant at Rede Globo. According to the interviewee, the stage colleague at the time had to be operated on, but she didn’t have any money.
Carla said that Nakamura discovered a kidney problem and had to undergo an operation, but her financial circumstances eventually became an obstacle: “I always wanted to tell this story, but nobody ever asked me. The ballet team was very united and there was a time when Carol Nakamura had to undergo kidney surgery. Back then, the operation was very expensive and she couldn’t pay for it with her salary.”
Moved by Carol’s situation, Silver revealed that the dancers didn’t think twice before banding together to help their colleague raise the missing funds to carry out the operation within the deadline set by the doctors: “Given the case, the dancers, all of us decided to make a kitten. Each would get money from the family from whoever they could to help pay for the surgery.”
However, it didn’t take long for the story to reach Faustão’s ears, who surprised everyone by announcing that he would cover all the costs of his colleague’s surgery: “Fausto finally found out and guess what he did? He paid for the surgery! He said: “No one else has to help with anything, I’ll pay for the surgery.” And he paid for the surgery!” the dancer continued.
