Joseph “Joe” Wilson, 41, and Jodi Ann Wilson, 38, allegedly killed their 4-year-old adopted son, Skyler, in North Carolina. According to previous findings, the child died of wounds “related to abuse by his parents”.
They allegedly performed an exorcism on their four-year-old son, who later died. This is why a few North Carolina parents were arrested: Joseph Paul “Joe” Wilson41 years old and Jodi Ann Wilson, 38 years old, from Surry County, reportedly “locked down and isolated”, her adopted son, SkylerFor a exorcismas well as other cases of “abuse”.
According to documents obtained by American broadcaster WFMY, Jodi is accused of sending her husband a photo of Skyler wrapped in a sheet Face down on the floor with del scotch tape to keep it stick to the floor. Joseph called 911 (911) on January 5 and reported that Skyler was having a seizure.
During the call, a Surry County detective said a woman, believed to be Jodi, could be heard in the background saying, “it’s my fault“. When doctors arrived at the scene, Skyler was not breathing. The child was taken to the intensive care unit Brenner Children’s Hospital in Winston-Salemin which North Carolinawhere he later died.

According to a doctor, the boy’s brain had sustained serious damage lack of oxygen while he’s pinned to the ground. During a search of Wilson’s home, detectives found tapes, handcuffs, and ankle cuffs. Law enforcement also confiscated digital documents from computers and phones.

It had been Skyler at first entrusted to another family. The ex-adopted mother described the boy to Fox 8: “He was so small but he had a heart three times bigger than his. He had an incredible smile.” And he added: “I want justice to be done”.
The Wilsons will appear in court on February 2nd. Other children were in the care of the couple. They have now been placed in the care of the Department of Human Services.
