Cut fuel excise duty by 25 cents per liter for 30 days through April 30th. Twenty million for road freight to reduce the cost of highway tolls. Tax bonus on diesel fuel to support fishing vessels. Special profit tax extended to all energy companies. Extension of the tax credit for energyintensive and gashungry companies already planned in the second quarter to other companies for the purchase of electricity and gas in emergencies. Installment payments also for companies. Ability to use up to three sales for energy rewards as well. There is a social bonus for electricity and gas.

The Council of Ministers unanimously approved the DecreeLaw on Measures to Cope with the Rise in Electricity and Fuel Prices (Urgent Measures to Combat the Economic and Humanitarian Impact of the Ukraine Crisis). The package also approved solutions on the labor front, with a new intervention on redundancies: a further 150 million was made available and the relief extended. Humanitarian reception measures are also planned after the crisis in Ukraine.

The ministerial decree (MefMite) activating the mechanism of mobile excise duty on gasoline and reducing the cost at the pump by 10 cents will come into force early next week. According to the current knowledge, the decree is actually finished and has already been stamped by the accounting office. While all the other measures included in the decreelaw instead will have to wait a little longer before being published in the Official Journal.
