An explosion was reported near the Israeli embassy in New Delhi, India, on Tuesday, according to multiple sources.
There were no injuries from the explosion.
The circumstances of the incident are being investigated by New Delhi police, news channel NDTV reported, citing the Press Trust of India. The investigation into the explosions is being carried out in full cooperation with the Israeli security forces.
The staff remained uninjured after the explosion.
A source in the Indian Jewish community told The Jerusalem Post on Tuesday: “The explosion was very large, something we are not used to hearing. It was a great miracle that there were no injuries.” The source emphasized to the Post: “It is not clear whether that is the case.” [the bombing] was against Israel or not. Guy Nir, the embassy spokesman, was interviewed by Indian television and said: “We heard an explosion. We thought she was nearby and then we realized she was actually near the embassy. Delhi Police and our security teams.” “We were immediately called to find out what was going on,” N12 reported. “Obviously something happened, but we have no information beyond that. In the meantime, we await the results of the investigation.”

In an interview conducted by Israel's Ambassador to India, Ron Malka, to Channel 12 almost three years ago, he stressed that the blast was being treated as a security incident in Israel and India and that it was being investigated whether the embassy was the target. Furthermore, he noted that the incident occurred just as the workers were supposed to leave the embassy.
According to Indian media, a terrorist organization called Jaish-ul-Hind, allegedly linked to Iran, claimed responsibility for the January 2021 attack near the Israeli embassy in New Delhi.
