Explosion reported near Israeli embassy in India – Report – The Jerusalem Post

An explosion was reported near the Israeli embassy in New Delhi, India, on Tuesday, according to multiple sources.

There were no injuries from the explosion.

The circumstances of the incident are being investigated by New Delhi police, news channel NDTV reported, citing the Press Trust of India. The investigation into the explosions is being carried out in full cooperation with the Israeli security forces.

The staff remained uninjured after the explosion.

A source in the Indian Jewish community told The Jerusalem Post on Tuesday: “The explosion was very large, something we are not used to hearing. Guy Nir, the embassy spokesman, was interviewed by Indian television and said: “We heard an explosion. We thought she was nearby and then we realized she was actually near the embassy. Delhi Police and our security teams.” “We were immediately called to find out what was going on,” N12 reported. “Obviously something happened, but we have no information beyond that. In the meantime, we await the results of the investigation.”

According to Indian media, a terrorist organization called Jaish-ul-Hind, allegedly linked to Iran, claimed responsibility for the January 2021 attack near the Israeli embassy in New Delhi.
