The bales arrived at the port of Valencia and ended up in modest apartments in Villa de Vallecas, which were heavily guarded by a security camera system. Police have dismantled a drug trafficking network of 24 people dedicated to distributing this drug throughout the Autonomous Community of Madrid and neighboring provinces. The product was first hidden in heavy farm machinery such as combine harvesters or tractors, and then stored in elaborate stashes in a dozen cars that brought the drug to camels. The judge ordered prison sentences for seven of them.
With controls, springs, parts that are not what they seem… The list of ways to hide bales and bales of cocaine and marijuana in the vehicles they used to move around Madrid and the surrounding area is endless . During searches of the homes and cars used for their criminal purposes, Group 18 investigators found almost 20 kilos of cocaine, around 13 kilos of hashish and some pink cocaine. The organization was a mosaic of nationalities: Spanish, Colombian, Ecuadorian and Brazilian. A multicultural narco SME.
The drug arrived in Valencia and from there was taken to an industrial warehouse in Cuenca, where it remained hidden in the industrial machinery. What criminals call a nursery, the place where produce waits until there is no longer any danger of being transported. From there they traveled to various dwellings in Vallecas, from where they were put into the hidden holes of the passenger cars, called bays. Each member had their role. As they made their way through different parts of Madrid, the cars carrying the drugs were escorted by other members of the organization, who warned of possible police stops or other types of shock.
The investigation began in May and after hours of surveillance, in late June investigators observed some of the detainees hiding the drug in the holes in cars. So they were stopped, they discovered a kilo of cocaine and the rest of the operation was unleashed, resulting in 24 arrests, most of them from different backgrounds.
In addition to the narcotics, the officers secured 111,000 euros in cash, six dummy weapons and eight vehicles during the 16 entries and searches in various apartments. They also found various tools for cutting and weighing the drug, cell phones, computers and tools.
