Facebook and Instagram have removed Children’s Health Defense accounts amid allegations of spreading health disinformation related to the coronavirus and repeatedly violating rules prohibiting the spread of false news about Covid-19. The NGO led by Robert Kennedy Jr. is one of the most influential No-Vax groups in the United States and one of the most active on social media. Kennedy himself, a staunch No-Vax, was kicked from Instagram in 2021 while his Facebook page remains active.
“Facebook is acting as a surrogate for the federal government’s crusade to silence any criticism of the government’s draconian policies,” Kennedy commented. Children’s Health Defense, which has hundreds of thousands of followers, announced it has sued Facebook.
