“We can easily compare him to the other best freshmen players from last season,” teammate Chris Lindstrom said in a press release. He was a phenomenal addition to our locker room. His approach, his style of play, the speed at which he learns… he has done incredible things.

Bergeron was selected in the second round (38th overall) of the last NFL Draft and had to deal with a position change early in the season. The one who worked as a blocker during his college career was transformed into a guard upon his arrival in Atlanta.

The Falcons finished their season with a record of 7-10 and missed the playoffs for the sixth consecutive season. The Georgia club recently fired head coach Arthur Smith, who had been in post since 2021.

On Tuesday, the Falcons announced they met with former New England Patriots Bill Belichick to discuss their vacant starting position.
