It was not necessary to have attended Rosalía’s concert in Madrid a few weeks ago to know a good part of what was happening there, as happened a little earlier with C. Tangana. The images of her performances followed one another in endless scrolls, stories and other ephemeral tools of social networks. To the point of wondering if its participants were more interested in witnessing its presence where it needed to be, rather than admiring the talent and caring for the two most famous Spanish artists of today.
Fanatic, the new Netflix youth series, analyzes the lights and shadows of fame from a necessary rawness and previously unreleased. A great success of this story, in which a precarious driver replaces Chimera, the trap star of the moment, thanks to his amazing physical resemblance to him, is that the story is not a sham. The singer dies in front of his fans during a concert, so everyone knows that the project is being carried on by a scammer without anyone seeming to care too much about artistic authenticity and real talent. The important thing is to follow the hype; continue to be fashionable by supporting the fashionable phenomenon. The entertainment industry, always so busy cloning what already works, this time takes its mantra to the extreme.

In Fanatico, some of the five credited episodes last barely 14 minutes, not much longer than the ubiquitous videos of Rosalía that hit phones in the 24 hours following her concert.
