Fani Pacheco, Priscila Pires and the “BBB 6” champion decided to study

Everyone knows that Big Brother Brazil is a celebrity factory. However, not all participants who go through the reality show want to pursue an artistic career. For some, the chance to transform their lives lies in using the money from the program exposure to invest in their studies and have a stable career away from the spotlight.

Her time on the reality show allowed Fani Pacheco, a highlight of “BBBs 7 and 13,” to pay the high monthly fee of R$14,500 for medical school at a private university in Rio. Since she became famous in 2007, she started making money from advertising and worked as a model, presenter and actress. In 2017 he decided to take the entrance exam to fulfill his big dream of working in psychiatry.

“I have a great passion for the brain and all its complexity. I have always studied (she completed her law degree at 22). My hobby was researching the human mind. I think living with my mother (who suffered from schizophrenia and died in 2014) also instilled in me this thirst for knowledge, to try to understand what was going on in her head and to help her. But I also found myself in other areas of medicine,” says the owner of the famous catchphrase “Uhhu, Nova Iguaçu”.

Fani is in his penultimate year of study and had his first surgery last week. Despite being a public figure and working in advertising, the Rio native admits she struggles to pay the monthly fee.

“In the current reality of the country, it is not possible for anyone to pay this monthly fee. Unless you have a lot of money, which I don't. We negotiate and redesign whenever we can,” he says.

Gil do Vigor is doing his doctorate in the USA

Gio do Vigor was already a millionaire when he decided to pursue his dream and obtain a doctorate (the equivalent of a Brazilian doctorate) in economics from the University of Davis in California in the United States. “There were endorsement deals worth almost R$7 million that I had to give up to study abroad,” he said in an interview in July.

A big highlight of “BBB 21”: The “King of Cachorrada” now uses social media to post educational content and has created a channel to give math lessons to college freshmen. This week he even lost followers who didn't like his content. “Whether I like it or not, I will continue to defend what I believe in: education,” Gil replied. Grade A!
