would you believe it It’s TV celebrity chef Gregg Wallace
It is Gregg Wallace who rose to fame on Masterchef alongside John Torode.
Born in Peckham, south-east London, Wallace began his career at the Covent Garden fruit and vegetable market aged 15 after leaving school early.
He founded George Allan’s Greengrocers in 1989 and had a successful broadcast career presenting numerous programs including Veg Talk on BBC Radio 4, Saturday Kitchen, Eat Well For Less, Inside The Factory , Turn Back Time, Harvest, and Supermarket Secrets.
And according to fans, young Gregg looks uncannily like Liam Payne.
Commenting on the post, one fan wrote, “OMGGG… Liam Payne’s double.”
“A striking resemblance to Liam Payne!” said another.
A third asked: “Why does this look like Liam Payne?”
This comes after Gregg opened up about his son’s autism and the possibility that his age is a factor in why four-year-old Sid suffers from the developmental disorder.
The star spoke to the Times’ T2 about his son, who he has with his fourth wife Anna, 37, and explained how Sid was diagnosed with autism last year and is struggling to complete an EHCP (an Education, Health and Care Plan ) to get the local council.
Sid is nonverbal and it’s not known if he will ever speak, but the Masterchef star admitted they “have hope” that they will see developments in the boy.
Gregg was asked if he believed his age was related to Sid’s autism, as several studies published over the past decade suggested that older men and women are more likely than young children to have a child with autism.
When asked if he was concerned about the link between old age and autism, he candidly said, “It could be.” It doesn’t bother me. The fault lies with God and little children. It doesn’t make it any better if we leave: it’s my fault.’
Gregg and Anna welcomed their first child – Gregg’s fourth child – in May 2019. Gregg was married to Christine Wallace for less than a year in 1981, to Denise Wallace from 1999 to 2004, to Heidi Brown from 2011 to 2012, and married Anne-Marie in 2016.
Speaking in T2 about how he was responding to the diagnosis, he said, “You’re going through a time that almost resembles grief.” “My God, I didn’t have the child I thought I would have .”

My boy: Gregg has stepped down from hosting Inside The Factory to spend more time with his son Sid, four, who has autism
Gregg stepped down from hosting Inside The Factory to spend more time with Sid and has recently launched his own wellness and weight loss app.
Last year, Gregg revealed on Loose Women that he and Anna were only able to receive the official diagnosis when they were three years old: “Syd has autism…”
“He’s three years old, you can’t legally diagnose it until he’s two and a half in this country, but at about a year old we knew we had some problems.”
When asked by Coleen Nolan and Kaye Adams what the characters were, Gregg said, “For us, he didn’t answer his name, he didn’t play peek-a-boo.”
“He’s been walking and running, but he has autism and he has something called global developmental delay.” So he’s not speaking.’
Gregg then added sweetly, “But he’s lovely and cuddly and happy.” And when he wants something, he grabs your hand and takes you. “Honestly, if you think you might have a problem, go see someone.”
