Antônio Fagundes premiered his play Baixa Terapia in Rio de Janeiro last weekend and there was confusion at the theater door.
The ticket informed that entry was not allowed after the start of the show without exchange of invitations and/or refund of money.
Despite this, at least 50 people were late and outraged. They threatened employees and wanted to enter the theater. The police were called to quell the riot. They were outraged to learn that they would have to (re)buy tickets for another day.
In fact, Fagundes rightly demands that no one be late, as this can really disrupt the artist’s concentration on stage. But taking away the ticket from those who are late is perhaps a bit radical. Unforeseen happens, right?
