The Stormtroopers, Chewbacca, and Ghostbusters descended London today, when avid comic book fans mingled in their favorite costumes of characters.

Thousands of enthusiasts dressed as characters from comics, movies, cartoons and computer games gathered at Olympia in Kensington, West London, for the first of a two-day Comic Con Spring event.

Among the guests of the celebrities at the annual event are Doctor Who Jody WhitakerRichard E. Grant, of The Rise of Skywalker and Tom Canton’s Tom Canton, according to the organization’s website.

Fans also meet Predrag Belach from Harry Potter, as well as Mandip Gill, who plays Jasmine Khan in Doctor Who, Harriet Walter and Celia Imri.

Hundreds of vendors also filled the arena to sell rare film souvenirs, including toys, costumes and collectibles.

Covid’s rules for the event include wearing face masks, while people who have mingled with other people outside their normal circles or been part of a large crowd in the last few days are encouraged to take the LFT before traveling to the event.

The organizers added: “No person with symptoms or anyone who has tested positive in the last 10 days and subsequently not tested negative in the last 5 days should attend the event.”
