Fans panic as all traces of the great pop star known as the “Japanese Madonna” are wiped from the internet, her social media deleted and her music deleted from Spotify and YouTube

The pop singer nicknamed the ‘Japanese Madonna’ has left fans angry and panicked after all traces of her disappeared offline.

Namie Amuro, 46, is a huge star in Japan with a career spanning over 30 years, 12 albums, 40 million record sales and 10 number one singles.

She announced back in 2017 that she was retiring from music after completing her final tour the following year.

But in the last few months, not only has Namie disappeared from the public eye, but also her entire work.

Fans have noticed that all of the singer’s social media has been deleted, including her Facebook page and fan page.

Her official website and online store have also ceased operations and now her music is also disappearing offline.

Numerous admirers posted on X, formerly known as Twitter, announcing that they could no longer access her songs on Spotify or Apple Music.

Likewise, her YouTube channel has been completely purged of the popular star’s music videos.

“THEY REMOVED NAMIE AMURO’S MUSIC FROM SPOTIFY,” one distraught fan posted.

Another wrote: “Not all of Namie Amuro’s discography is leaving Spotify,” and another chimed in: “Two hours ago I was able to listen to Namie on Apple Music.”

“This is why watching Japanese entertainment is stressful… It would be a miracle if we got the full story,” another wrote.

“Namie Amuro’s Spotify and YT channels (and others) are basically empty. 30 years of work have passed.’

“We live in a world where you need Telegram to hear Namie Amuro,” said another.

Namie released a statement on her 40th birthday informing fans of her intention to retire from music.

“I want to write about something that is close to my heart and that I decided to do on the 25th anniversary of my debut,” the statement reads.

“I, Namie Amuro, would like to take this opportunity to inform all my fans of my decision to retire effective September 16, 2018.”

“I plan to make the last year of my music career meaningful by focusing my full attention on creating a final album and performing at concerts.”

“Then I will welcome the date of September 16, 2018 as best I can.”
