On the night, Jennifer got emotional when she recalled an anecdote from her childhood during her acceptance speech.

In accepting the honor, the actress first thanked the show’s creator, Mike White, before getting emotional as she spoke about her “amazing parents” and how they inspired her to take action.

“I had these amazing parents. And they had this incredible gift. It was impossible for them to lie,” explained the blonde bombshell.

“They just couldn’t. Never, they just never lied,” she said, before recounting how her father broke his period one day and took her out of school after making a fake excuse so he could take her to the Charlie Chaplin film festival .

“The principal came to my first grade and said I needed to be called to the office. And I walked into the office and she said, “Your dad is here,” the star shared.

“My dad sat there and said, ‘Yes Jenny, we have to go,'” Coolidge recalled.

“And the principal said, ‘Jennifer, get well soon,’ and I didn’t know what that meant,” she said while the audience laughed.

“And then I got in the car with my dad, and he was driving, and he said, ‘I’m never going to lie again, but we’re going somewhere that’s really cool.’

Coolidge then explained that her father took her to the festival, which made a huge impression on her and inspired her love of acting.

“I swear to God seeing Charlie Chaplin for the first time and having that experience — it’s my love of movies, it’s my love of acting, it all came from my first grade.”

The naturally blonde star also thanked White, saying: “Mike White you can give money to friends… and people like money. The best gift you can give someone is to change their perspective. And that’s what Mike White did for me.”

At the end of her speech, she boisterously thanked her boyfriend and date for the night, actor Tim Bagley, 65. Thank you, you’re a wonderful date tonight, can’t wait for us to get home,” she said to bursts of laughter from the audience.

Coolidge stunned at the ceremony in a low-cut, form-fitting gown.

The beauty looked like a pin-up doll with a voluminous blowout hairstyle while wearing the floor-length black dress that flattered her figure as she posed on the red carpet.

The American Pie alum also took to Instagram to show how she got ready ahead of her red carpet appearance. Coolidge worked with celebrity makeup artist Lilly Keys for the event, for whom the beauty pro prepped the actress’ skin with Babor products – including Perfect Glow Ampoule Serum Concentrate and Doctor Babor Lifting RX Collagen Cream.

Meanwhile, her hair was styled into “ultimate bombshell waves” for the event by A-list stylist Sami Knight, who used tools from Tangle Teezere and products from Living Proof to perfect the look.

“I really wanted Jen to be the ultimate bombshell today,” Sami explained. “This look is all about big volume and soft waves.”

To achieve this volume, Sami applied Living Proof Full Thickening Mousse to Tangle Teezer’s The Ultimate Detangler before brushing it through the hair to distribute the product evenly.

After curling the curls, the style was set with Living Proof Flex Hairspray before the waves were brushed through with The Ultimate Styler by Tangle Teezer and finished off with a spritz of Living Proof Dry Volume and Texture Spray.

Later, the White Lotus star was joined by her castmates as the hit HBO show is Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in the Drama Series category.

She paired her busty number with a black headband and shimmering diamond jewelry.

The comeback queen wore a pair of dangling diamond earrings and matching tennis bracelets up the sleeves of her dress.

She carried a black rectangular clutch as she posed on the red carpet.

For makeup, she looked glamorous in a sultry makeup look with an emphasis on cat eye liner and full, fluttering lashes.
