1. R.B Zach Charbonnet, Seattle Seahawks
Kenneth Walker III did not practice earlier in the week due to a calf injury and therefore played less than usual in Week 8.
- Walker ran eight times for 66 yards and added a four-yard catch. Charbonnet ran five times for 53 yards and caught two passes for 11 yards.
- Charbonnet received a slight increase in his playing time on early downs and in short-yard situations, likely due to Walker’s injury.
- The big difference in snaps occurred on third downs and on two-minute drills. Charbonnet and DeeJay Dallas shared this role. This week Charbonnet has completely taken over.
- Dallas was not on the injury report this week. He played on special teams and didn’t show any rushing offense on offense, so Charbonnet’s increased role in passing situations should be permanent.
- Charbonnet is worth a waiver wire target because he will have a larger role if Walker’s injury persists.
