**Fashion: Blumarine, Walter Chiapponi is the new creative director** Il Tirreno

Milan, Nov. 2 (Adnkronos) – Walter Chiapponi has been appointed creative director of Blumarine. The Milan designer, fresh from his departure from the creative leadership of Tod’s, will present his first Blumarine collection during Milan Fashion Week in February 2024. “I am sure that Walter Chiapponi, with his internationally recognized talent and the profound stylistic sensitivity that characterizes him,” will be able to give new energy to Blumarine while respecting the brand’s exceptional heritage – says Marco Marchi, sole director of Eccellenze Italiane, the holding company that owns Blumarine -. After studying at the European Institute of Design, he made his debut in the fashion world at the end of the 90s with Alessandro Dell’Acqua and subsequently worked with some of the most important brands in the fashion scene such as Givenchy, Valentino, Gucci, Miu Miu, Bottega Veneta and finally Tod’s. “I am delighted to have been appointed creative director of an iconic Italian brand that has, over time, developed a concept of femininity characterized by lightness and creativity,” explains Chiapponi.
