Fashion failures! Millie McIntosh topped BAFTA’s Worst Dressed Women rankings.

Among the glitz and glamor of the BAFTA red carpet were some serious fashion blunders, as these highly questionable ensembles prove.

Reality TV star Millie McIntosh, Charlotte Carroll and RuPaul’s drag racing star Bimini Bon Bulash were among those who missed the mark in outfits that failed to flatter their fabulous figures.

Elsewhere, actresses Lucy Boynton and Lea Seydoux donned silver dresses that garnered everyone’s attention for all the wrong reasons, while celebs Rebecca Hall, Jessie Buckley and Sienna Miller also took a fashion gamble that didn’t pay off.

Meanwhile, actors Ferdia Walsh-Pylo, Cody Smith-McPhee and Sebastian Stan have ditched traditional tuxedos in favor of something out of the ordinary… but the trendy looks have sparked controversy.

Actresses Millie Bobby Brown and Florence Pugh have played with proportions and layers, but the confusing results show that sometimes less is more.

Millie McIntosh of Made In Chelsea showed her support for Ukraine with a blue and yellow ribbon at the event. But that didn’t divert attention from the crumpled pink evening gown.

The pale color didn’t go well with her skin tone, and the combination of a single puff sleeve and a large bow at the back meant it was hard to know where to look.

Indeed, the voluminous bow was the main fashion trend on the red carpet. Director Charlotte Carroll wore a large floppy bow on the front of her bold pink and yellow dress, while Florence Pugh’s bright pink creation on the back of her black mini dress provided contrast, though audiences were divided on the overall effect.

Risk taker Bimini Bon Boulash stood out with an intricate white lace creation that they paired with white tights and white thong shoes. It was blue medical-style opera gloves that seemed to ruin the look.

Equally controversial was longtime It Girl Sienna Miller, who paired her plunging gold dress with a pair of black lace opera gloves. Her golden strappy dress had strips of fabric with feathers down the bottom that resembled curtain trim.

Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown, a teenager, ventured into a layered black lace peplum dress.

The rock girl ensemble certainly drew attention, but it looks like the rising star is still finding his fashionable voice.

Stars have reportedly been advised to dress “respectfully” over fears that attention-grabbing dresses and suits might come across as obnoxious in light of the conflict in Ukraine.

A number of celebrities, including Naomi Campbell, Daisy Ridley and Best Actress winner Joanna Scanlan, have worn black ensembles, which can be interpreted as a nod to this style edict.

Dog Power took top honors at the Bafta Film Awards, where the sci-fi blockbuster Dune also garnered a string of gongs.

Will Smith and Joanna Scanlan were named top acting award winners, while No Time To Die actress Lashana Lynch was crowned EE’s rising star.

DeBose won the Supporting Actress award for her performance as Anita in the remake of West Side Story, and Lynch won the EE Rising Star Award, the only Bafta the public voted for, from last year’s winner Bukka Buckray.

She took the stage in a sparkly red dress and said, “Maybe I look a little different than the last time you saw me here.”

Referring to a photo of her at the 2020 ceremony that appeared on screen, she added: “That was me two years ago and I’ve changed a lot since then – I hope JK Rowling still approves.”

“Everyone asks me why you lost weight? Obviously, this was to get Robert Pattinson’s attention.”

She continued, “Not only did I lose weight to get a boyfriend, I did it to get more roles.

“Now I can play an unfunny love interest in an Adam Sandler movie.”

Wilson also joked that she would succeed Daniel Craig as the next James Bond, adding, “Because of the gender pay gap, I won’t actually be 007, I’ll be 004.5.”

The star, who promised that she would not shy away from bold jokes, later added: “I was going to act as the host of a musical number – it was about Prince Andrei.

“It was on roller skates. It was called “Pizza Express” but don’t worry, I won’t do it, I won’t sing – I’ll save my voice for the Cats sequel.

She also joked about the Sussexes ahead of the Best British Film nominations screening: “From drama to horror to fantasy, Harry and Meghan’s interview with Oprah had it all.”

The Duke of Cambridge, who is president of Bafta, was absent from this year’s ceremony but recorded a video message congratulating the nominees and praising the work of Bafta’s breakthrough program, a year-long mentoring and leadership initiative, saying it “helps people realize their true potential.”
