A conservative commentator confronts pro-choice protesters by questioning them in a new documentary on What is a Woman, which alleges pediatricians who help teenagers transition to a different gender are prescribing a hormone blocker that used for chemical castration.
Matt Walsh, a father of four who hosts a podcast for The Daily Wire, said he’s been asking the question for years and still hasn’t gotten a straight answer.
“What is a woman? Can someone tell me what a woman is?’ Walsh asked protesters as he walked the route with a bullhorn at last year’s Women’s March.
One protester yelled back, “If you’re not here for the women, we’re asking you to leave!” Others were silent.
The protesters’ reactions are the focus of a new Daily Wire documentary entitled “What is a Woman?”. to be released on June 1st. A book of the same name is scheduled for release on June 14.
The trailer was released on Saturday – the day hundreds of thousands will march in Washington, DC and across the country in a rally to mark the “Bans Off Our Bodies” day of action for abortion rights.
The event, organized by Women’s March, comes after Politico released a leaked draft opinion suggesting the Supreme Court ruled Roe v. Wade will fall.

On Saturday, Walsh told that while he will not appear at the march today, his message will be clear in the form of billboards along the route.
“We thought it was important for the people who are marching today to see that message,” Walsh explained.
A billboard promoting the show was erected along the route of the Washington DC march, along with another in New York City.
“When you ask that question – what is a woman – it makes you uncomfortable and you just can’t answer it,” Walsh told .
“Some of these activists that we encountered became militant, vicious when we asked that question,” he said.
Walsh added that he’s found the “average person” supports their message but doesn’t always speak up for fear of backlash and rejection.
Walsh said the question is just the beginning, a “doorway to a broader topic of gender ideology” and how it affects our children.

Walsh then specifically asks her about the drug Leuprolide Acetate, also known as “Lupron”, which he points out is also used to “castrate sex offenders”.

Leuprolide acetate is an LHRH agonist that is most commonly used in chemical castration today.
Leuprolide is also used to stop early puberty (premature puberty) in children.
It helps to delay sexual development (such as breast/testicle growth) and the onset of menstruation.
It also helps slow early bone growth to increase the likelihood of reaching normal adult height.
Leuprolide works by decreasing the amount of sex hormones that a child’s body produces (estrogen in girls, testosterone in boys).
In the documentary, Walsh also talks to Scott Newgent, a 47-year-old transgender man who lives in Texas, about whether there’s “social contagion” when teens solve their problems.
“I’m a biological woman who has been medically altered to look like a man. But I’ll never be a man.’
Newgent is the founder of TReVoices, a group of trans educators who oppose radical gender activism and seek to educate politicians and families about the reality of gender dysphoria.
“I turned 42,” Newgent said, pointing at Walsh. “Your child has no chance.”
Walsh has revealed himself on his show and appearances on Fox News and Dr. Phil regularly outspoken against trans issues.
In a video in response to the HBO documentary Transhood, Walsh said parents who support their transgender children are a “disordered” form of “child abuse.”
Earlier this year, trans activists accused Walsh of trying to lure her into taking part in an anti-trans documentary, Insider reported.
Eli Erlick told the news outlet that she and her 14-year-old transgender child were recruited to appear in the documentary.
Walsh, who has a history of controversial tweets and on-air comments, was suspended from Twitter for 12 hours earlier this year for tweeting that Jeopardy champion Amy Schneider and UPenn swimmer Lia Thomas were men.
“The greatest female jeopardy champion of all time is a man,” Walsh wrote in a Dec. 30 tweet, according to the Daily Wire. “The best collegiate swimmer is a man. The first female four-star admiral in the Public Health Service is a male. Men have dominated the female high school track and female MMA circuit. Patriarchy wins in the end.”

“I’m not referring to a single person as if they were two people,” Walsh wrote in another tweet. “Everyone else can walk around and sound like crazy if they want, but I won’t be attending. No thanks.’
The tweets violated Twitter’s policy on “hateful behavior,” which prohibits users from using “violence” on the basis of “race, ethnicity, national origin, caste, sexual orientation, and gender identity.”
Walsh showed up at Tucker Carlson just minutes after his suspension.
“I found out just five minutes ago, just before we went on the air, that I just got suspended from Twitter for suggesting that biological men are men,” Walsh said.
