After Faustão’s heart transplant, the presenter’s family came to Brasília to try to change the current legislation on organ donation. In Instagram Stories, João Guilherme Silva, together with his mother Luciana Cardoso, explained that he was in the capital to speak to officials about the matter.
“Hello guys! We just landed here in Brasília and came here for a really cool cause related to organ donation. We came here to try to change this legislation, talk to representatives and also senators, to see “If we can change the legislation on alleged donations,” explained João Guilherme Silva.

The young man then explained what a presumed donation meant. “Everyone is a donor until the person decides. If they don’t want to be a donor, that person speaks their mind.” So, to the contrary, everyone is a donor. We will try to change the history of Brazil and make sure that all these people who are standing in line today get to the organ faster,” he added.
Faustão’s family creates Instagram about organ donation
Since it became known that Faustão would need a heart transplant, the presenter’s wife, Luciana Cardoso, created a photo profile on the social network to share testimonials from people who had undergone the same operation.
For this reason, she published Faustão’s first statement after the operation, in which he thanked the family of the donor, Fábio Cordeiro da Silva, as well as a report on the presenter’s return home.
