HBO Max
The CW has confirmed that there will be a date with FBoy Island and its female offshoot FGirl Island.
Deadline revealed in March that the network had picked up the two shows as new boss Heather Olander’s first big buys since she joined earlier this year.
Nikki Glaser remains the host and executive producer of FBoy Island, which previously ran on HBO Max for two seasons. It will air as part of its fall lineup.
FGirl Island, also hosted by Glaser, will launch mid-season.
Both series will go into production consecutively at STXtelevision this summer. The series was created by Elan Gale, who is executive producer for TheYearOfElan Productions alongside Jason Goldberg for STXtelevision, Nikki Glaser, Noah Fogelson and Bob Simonds.

FBoy Island, one of HBO Max’s most-watched unscripted original series, fell in the middle of Warner Bros. Discovery’s move to cut reality shows from HBO Max and was canceled after two seasons last year.
Set in the Cayman Islands, the show followed three women who are joined by 24 men – 12 self-proclaimed “Nice Guys” looking for love and 12 self-proclaimed “FBoys” fighting for hard cash there.
The women navigate the dating pool together in hopes of finding a lasting love relationship. Everything is open until the finale – who is a nice guy, who is a FBoy and who the women ultimately vote for. Fboy Island is a social experiment that asks the age-old question: can FBoys really reform, or do nice guys always end up last?
The FGirl Island spinoff was already in the works at HBO Max before it was cut.
“With its innovative and modern take on the reality dating genre, the incredibly talented host Nikki Glaser, and the truly unforgettable title, FBoy Island on The CW is a perfect fit,” said Olander. “Together with our partners at STXtelevision, we’re excited to grow the franchise on The CW with gender-bending spinoff FGirl Island, and can’t wait to introduce the next generation of FBoys and FGirls to both existing fans and new television audiences.”
“I’m so damn excited my favorite reality TV show is coming back,” said Nikki Glaser. “It’s the icing on the cake that I get to moderate it again. I hope to forget everything that happened while I’m doing the show so I can relive it all when it airs. I couldn’t be prouder to have my name on such a hilarious, compelling and ridiculous show.”
“STXtelevision is excited to partner with The CW to provide a wonderful new home for FBoy Island,” added Jason Goldberg, Chief Creative Officer, STX Digital/New Media Group and Alternative Content. “In addition, we will expand the fan-favorite franchise with the introduction of the highly anticipated FGirl Island, which will be every bit as exciting, hilarious and outrageous. To date, FBoy Island has original local formats in Sweden, Spain, Holland, Denmark, New Zealand, Australia, Portugal and the UK. The best of the FBoy and FGirl Island universe is yet to come.”
