Quebec’s Félix Auger-Aliassime helped his World Tennis League team win their first game of the competition by beating Australia’s Nick Kyrgios 7-5, 6-3 on Monday.

“FAA” takes part in this friendly competition, which takes place in the United Arab Emirates. He belongs to the kite team together with his compatriot Eugenie Bouchard, the Pole Iga Swiatek and the Dane Holger Rune.
Auger-Aliassime’s win allowed his team to defeat the Hawks 35-27. The defeated club consists of Kyrgios, Canadian Bianca Andreescu, French Caroline Garcia and Indian Rohan Bopanna.
However, the Montreal native had started his duel badly, falling back 0:3 after just a few minutes. The sixth player in the world, however, pulled himself together and ran away with the win.
Notably, Auger-Aliassime won 85% of contested matches on his first ball, breaking his rival four times.
Earlier in the day, the pair of Bouchard and Rune lost 6-2, 6-3 to a duo of Andreescu and Kyrgios.
