FernandaMontenegro made an unexpected decision behind the scenes at Globo. According to the newspaper O Globo, the actress did not renew her contract with the channel and therefore abandoned the project in which she was planned as part of the platinum Venus.
The actress would be part of “Terra Vermelha,” the latest 9 p.m. soap opera set to debut in April 2023.
By the way, the news of the nonrenewal of FernandaMontenegro led many netizens to believe the 93yearold actress was ready for her retirement. However, this is not the case. Eventually, she plans to continue acting in feature films.
Currently, the star has finished filming Dona Vitória, a feature film directed by Andrucha Washington, based on a report by the EXTRA portal. In this production she stars alongside Linn da Quebrada.
In addition, the actress will be the protagonist of the adaptation of “I’m Still Here”, a book by Marcelo Rubens Paiva. The direction is in the hands of Walter Salles.
By the way, that’s worth mentioning FernandaMontenegro definitely not the first prestigious name to leave the station. Marco Garcia seems to have taken an important step in his future at Globo. Because according to Leo Dias’ portal at Metrópoles, the moderator asked for his contract with the broadcaster, which initially ran until August 2024, to be terminated.
