The events took place last Friday, March 1, evening in the Dumka district of eastern India.

According to our colleagues from Le Parisien, Fernanda – 45 years old – and her husband Vincent were trying to sleep in a tent when they were surprised by several people. The latter first attacked the Spaniard and hit him with a helmet and stones. Then to Fernanda: “They beat us and stole our things, but not much because they just wanted to rape me,” explains the couple, who wanted to testify in front of the camera on Instagram.

At around 11 p.m., Fernanda came across a police patrol. The Spanish tourist was then taken to Dumka Hospital for treatment, police told the Times of India. “My mouth is destroyed, but Fernanda is in worse condition than mine,” says Vincent. An investigation was launched on site: three people were arrested, but the police are looking for other suspects.
