Prime Minister Petr Fiala met this Friday with his Ivorian counterpart Robert Beugré Mambé and the country’s Vice President Tiémok Koné at the opening of an economic forum in Abidjan.
Fiala assured that he sees commercial opportunities for the Czech Republic in Ivory Coast, for example in the supply of advanced medical technology or agricultural technology. The Prime Minister also said he had spoken to Mambé about supplying buses.
On the night of Friday to Saturday, the Prime Minister returned to the Czech Republic after a trip that took him through Ethiopia, Kenya, Ghana and Ivory Coast, accompanied by a large business delegation from the fields of defense and health, among others.
The first visit by a Czech Republic prime minister to Africa since the fall of communism also had a planned stop in Nigeria, but that was canceled at the last minute.
