Fiat has placed orders for its Topolino electric four-wheeler, a neo-retro clone of the Citroën Ami. We discover a four-digit price that could lead to success on the other side of the Alps.
In May, Fiat caused a stir with the introduction of its version of the concept that gave rise to the Citroën Ami in France. After the Opel Rocks-e in Germany, an Italian version of the Ami came onto the market under the name Topolino. Less symmetrical than its French cousin, Fiat’s electric four-wheeler sports a deliciously retro look inspired by the 1957 500.
Fiat has opened its domestic order books. The catalog price is 9,890 euros, but the car is available from 7,543 euros with an eco-bonus. It is therefore more expensive than the Citroën Ami. This will also be the case here, as Fiat has promised a base price under 10,000 euros in France, where orders will open in the coming weeks. It is clear that it will be almost 10,000 euros when the Ami starts at 7,790 euros, albeit in a basic configuration, while the Fiat is content with a “high-end” version.

As far as the technical data is concerned, we find the same as the Citroën Ami. The 6 kW motor powered by the 5.4 kWh battery can travel 75 kilometers. The top speed of the model is 45 km/h. Deliveries in Italy are scheduled to begin in early 2024.
Fiat expects it to be a huge success and says 10,000 people have expressed interest in the vehicle since it was unveiled in July.
