Fighter Box Office Advance Sales Day 6: Hrithik Roshan starrer sees further decline in premiere numbers – IndiaTimes

The box office collection of Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone-starrer 'Fighter' registered a noticeable decline on its sixth day of release. After a decline in numbers on the first Monday, the film continued its downward trend on Tuesday and registered an advance payment of Rs 24 lakh, as per initial estimates on Sacnilk.com.
Despite the expected decline over the working week, “Fighter” was expected to maintain a strong position at the box office due to the considerable hype surrounding the film. Director Siddharth Anand had announced over the weekend that the film had crossed the 100 crore mark in its first extended weekend.

The patriotic action drama, which hit theaters on Thursday ahead of the 75th Republic Day, reported an estimated collection of Rs 30.20 crore on Sunday, taking its four-day weekend total to Rs 123.60 crore. The film earned Rs 24.60 crore on the opening day, registered growth on the second day with a collection of Rs 41.20 crore and remained steady at Rs 27.60 crore on the third day. With positive response, 'Fighter' collected Rs 30.20 crore on its fourth day.

Trade reports revealed that the film grossed an estimated Rs 8 crore on Monday, taking the total collection to Rs 126 crore. The film's performance on Tuesday remains to be seen but based on the current trend, it is expected to cross the Rs 150 crore mark in the second weekend.

Internationally, “Fighter” has clearly crossed the Rs 200 crore mark. The film was released in 23 territories and grossed $24.5 million worldwide over the weekend, grossing $20.8 million in international territories. Including Thursday numbers, the film earned a worldwide box office total of $25.1 million, according to ComScore data.

In North America, “Fighter” collected $3.7 million over the three-day weekend and $4.3 million over four days.
“Fighter” revolves around the Indian Air Force and depicts Indian conflicts with Pakistan. The film's global collections were partially hampered by the film's ban in the Middle East, a huge market for Indian films.
