On Friday, he was quietly skating during optional practice at Madison Square Garden when a “collision” forced him to leave the ice. According to the New York Post, Chytil had to be helped to get up by two teammates and members of the coaching staff.
The 24-year-old hockey player remains on the Rangers' long-term absentee list. He returned to training on Thursday wearing a jersey, meaning he was not allowed any contact.
In 10 games this season, Chytil has collected six assists.
