Five restaurants and food establishments in Laval have received fines from the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (MAPAQ) in recent weeks.

The total of the offenses made public since September 8th is $20,500.

The LTEE bakery Meilleure Qualité Chomedey was the main target of the ministry with a total fine of $14,500. The offenses date from 2021 and 2022, but the verdict was handed down in September. The store, which was located at 4627 Samson Boulevard, has since closed its doors.

The boutique Les Aliments Kourieh Inc., located at 4375 Boulevard Saint-Martin Ouest, was instead fined $2,000 for having a product intended for human consumption that was unfit for such consumption. The crime occurred in October 2021 and the verdict was handed down on August 30th.

For its part, the Basha restaurant, located at 279, boulevard de la Concorde est, kept a heat-alterable product ready, without cooling it, without delay or without constantly keeping it at an internal and ambient temperature not exceeding 4 ° C until it is delivered to the consumer was delivered . Just like Ciel Bleu, this breach cost the establishment $1,000.

Finally, the Del Sole pastry shop, located at 3313 Boulevard de la Concorde, was fined $500 for a repeated violation of the use of equipment and materials for the preparation, storage and operation of products that were not clean in January 2022.
