Finnish Prime Minister Sanna Marin faces controversy after the release of videos on Wednesday showing her attending a drunken party with friends including figures from her country.
The 36-year-old Prime Minister of Finland appears in videos from a private party. The guests are alcoholics and several netizens suspected the presence of drugs during the event.
The sequences were published on social networks on Wednesday. In these, Sanna Marin dances and has fun with friends. Including politicians, artists, influencers and others who are close to the politician.

“These are private videos and not intended for the public,” defended the prime minister in a remark reported by Iltalehti, the Finnish media that unveiled the videos. Sanna Marin also said she had not consumed any drugs, “only alcohol”.
Indeed, guests would have mentioned “flour” at certain points, including one song.
She’s ready for a drug test
Responding to rumors of possible drug use, Finnish Prime Minister Sanna Marin said Thursday that she had no problem taking a drug test.
“I have nothing to hide. I haven’t taken any drugs so I have no problem taking a test,” Sanna Marin of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) told reporters.
Also, according to her, the party took place a few weeks ago during her party’s meeting in Kuopio, in east-central Finland. She said her security guards were in the area but not at the residence where the event took place.
Sanna Marin added that she was confident the videos would not go into the public domain.
The Prime Minister clarified that if “something illegal happens” during the evening, which began in two apartments before continuing in two bars, “then it would be more of a police matter,” she said.
Finnish talk show host Aleksi Valavuori posted the video on his Twitter account. He expressed his outrage and urged the Prime Minister to “take her leather jacket” and “resign”.

In addition to allegations of possible drug use, many Internet users on social networks also criticize Sanna Marin for an attitude that is too relaxed for her position. Conversely, others praise the freshness of the politician.
Argentinian news site La Nacion recalled that the prime minister had already sparked controversy last December. She had been visiting a nightclub when she was a Covid-19 contact case.
