Finn Wolfhard has shown his support for his Stranger Things co-star Noah Schnapp after coming out as gay last month.
“When I saw it, I just had a big smile on my face,” the 20-year-old said in an interview with GQ published Wednesday. “I was just really proud of him.”
Wolfhard, who plays Mike Wheeler in the hit Netflix series, said he and the rest of the cast work like family.

“We’re not attuned to everyday text vibes in any way, and not because… it is,” he explained. “Do you text your cousins every day? Probably not. You are our family. We talk on each other’s birthdays. We’ll chat every now and then.

“But the way this family works, if I ever need anything, they’re there,” he said.
Wolfhard’s comments come almost a month after 18-year-old Schnapp shared a TikTok video in which he opened up about his sexuality to his more than 32 million followers.

“When I finally told my friends and family I was gay after 18 years of being scared in the closet and all they said was, ‘We know,'” the ‘Abe’ star wrote on Beginning of clip from January 5th.
Schnapp then formed the words of a woman who said: “You know what it never was? So serious. It’s never been this serious. Honestly, it will never be that serious.”
