Fiorello is considered one of the strongest showmen we have in Italy and his really long career started, as he often said, in the tourist villages. Fiorello is a versatile artist, able to play, present, imitate and sing. Fiorello was a conductor, DJ, comedian, radio announcer and so on and so on.
His career in the holiday villages began in 1975 and lasted a few years, in which he distinguished himself for his skills and was promoted in another sector from time to time, until he reached the coveted stage with a microphone, which he never left. The rest, as they say, is history.
Those who lived through the 1990s will surely remember the broadcast of karaoke, the first broadcast he directed all by himself. The program was itinerant, traveling all the places of Italy, involving the audience, the true protagonist of the show, with the performance of a different song each time.
But among the many successes that marked his life, unfortunately, the dramatic moments were not lacking, and here we bring you one of the most difficult dramas of his life.
Fiorello and the drama that changed his life
It can be said that Fiorello is an accomplished and very happy man on all fronts, both professionally and in the family, and certainly there were many satisfactions for him, but the difficult moments were not missing.
A certain phase of his life was not easy and is associated with a dramatic moment that still moves him. It’s about his father’s death an event that changed his life as he took part in the Sanremo Festival.
It is a very dramatic moment that has shaped his life and that he has often talked about in interviews. As Fiorello always said, his father was dancing with his mother and the next moment he was gone for a minute, he never came back. They found him lifeless in the car seat.
Fiorello, who was working with Radio Deejay in Sanremo, made several phone calls at home, but no one answered him. After a while they finally told him that his father was ill and that he had to go home immediately.
Fiorello immediately ran home, already knowing that his father was actually already dead. It was a desperate moment for him and as he often said in some interviews, for him Sanremo is a sign that reminds him of that tragic moment.
This is Fiorello’s own testimony about this story: “The saddest moment of my life was the death of my father. He was dancing with my mother, he was absent for a moment, they found him dead sitting on the seat.
I was at the beginning of my career, in Sanremo at Radio Deejay (I don’t know if I ever said that, but my reluctance towards Sanremo stems from that event), I called home and nobody answered me. Then I went to relatives and they told me that my father was ill, I should come back immediately (in reality he was already dead)”.
