On Saturday around 7.45 p.m. a fire alarm was reported at the Lausanne train station. The fire brigade and police were quickly on site. However, more fear than harm. “There was a fire that was quickly brought under control. But the playground in front of the train station was slightly damaged,” informs the Lausanne police.
Also, the logo of Switzerland’s main railway company has been removed from its French part, which is usually found between the German and Italian versions. The inscription “SBB” of the Swiss Federal Railways was devastated by flames, as the photos of one of our journalists, who were on site at the time of the fire, show. An investigation to determine the cause of the accident is underway.
