Fire at wedding party: more than 100 dead in Iraq

At least 100 people died in a devastating fire at a wedding party in Iraq and around 150 people were injured – this is a preliminary estimate. Initial indications suggest fireworks may have started the fire. Iraqi authorities issued arrest warrants for four owners of the site. Furthermore, an investigation committee was created to clarify the exact circumstances of the accident.

After SPÖ leak: ORF ends electoral cooperation with SORA

SORA’s “SPÖ strategy document”, which was unintentionally made public on Tuesday, has unpleasant consequences for the opinion research institute. The SORA Institute’s strategic document was accidentally sent to 800 wrong recipients. ORF is now ending its collaboration with the institute. On the sidelines of a visit to the Waldviertel Festival on Vienna’s Rathausplatz, he made the following comments SPÖ President Andreas Babler on the leaked documents: “This is not an SPÖ document, it was not commissioned by the SPÖ”, Babler denies all accusations. Nehammer wants an end to the ban on CO2 storage

Norway has been demonstrating CO2 storage for many years, now it’s time for Austria to do the same, says Nehammer. The Scandinavian country is considered a pioneer in the field of controversial CO2 capture and storage.
