Innovation and the latest developments in the field of fire protection are the focus of a conference that will take place on Friday, October 20th, at NOI Techpark, under the title: “Fire Safety Engineering – Driver of Change “. An event that made possible the collaboration between unibz and regional professional associations. Entry is free and registration is required.
The conference is jointly organized by those responsible for the basic master’s program in Fire Safety Engineering (FSE) at the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano and the Agorà Activities Safety Village. The focus is on various aspects of fire protection, including fire science, human behavior and evacuation, fire protection systems, fire protection analysis and performance planning, legislation and regulations, and integrated building design for prevention. The event is divided into three main areas: #INNOVATION, #MARKET and #MARKET.
The daily program includes a series of information and discussion events in Italian with representatives of national associations and companies in the sector. New innovative developments will be presented in additional workshops. The conference is an important educational and networking opportunity for anyone working in the field of fire protection. The complexity and new challenges in this sector require new skills and knowledge.
This is one of the reasons why the master’s program in Fire Safety Engineering created by the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano is considered a reference throughout Italy for training in this area. The trend towards fire protection engineering requires, in fact, new skills and professionalism, highlights the person responsible for the course, Prof. Andrea Gasparella. “With the master’s degree in Fire Safety Engineering, which is offered for the second time this year, we sought to fill a gap and offer training that can compete with the most important offers from international universities in this area. The course offers a specialization in the field of fire protection engineering that builds on basic training and provides the conceptual tools and practical approaches necessary for the profession.”
