First contestant ‘revealed’ on Winter Love Island: Boohoo model Tanya Manhenga, 22, ‘preparing to move into a South African villa’
The first singleton to head into the Love Island mansion for the upcoming winter series has reportedly been revealed as boohoo model Tanya Manhenga.
According to The Sun, the 22-year-old biomedical student is among the next hopefuls to travel to South Africa in search of love.
Alongside her studies, Tanya has worked with brands such as Ego and Simmi Shoes and is already represented by talent agency Muse.

Tanya currently has over 11,000 followers on Instagram, which she entertains with multiple bikini snaps.
A source said: “Tanya really is the whole package, she’s smart and gorgeous and she seems to be one of the most popular islanders on this show.
“She’s a wait-listed Islander who’s already moved in the same circles as former cast members and already has brand deals.
“But her followers already know she has a personality to match. This year’s line-up is a cheeky bunch, packed with banter and good conversation, and Tanya will lead the pack.’

Perhaps as a nod to her upcoming TV appearance, Tanya captioned her Christmas Eve post, “The calm before the storm.”

The ninth series will be hosted by Maya Jama for the first time after Laura Whitmore resigned from her position following the tragic death of former host Caroline Flack in 2020.
The mansion was unveiled last month, with sources telling Web that the South African mansion is the “best mansion” yet, with stunning mountain views and nestled on the country’s “Millionaire Row”.

Love Island bosses have reportedly invested in a £1.2million villa where contestants will compete like gladiators to win the show’s sportiest season yet.
According to The Sun, the magnificent mansion in South Africa has a zip line, a 400-metre running track, and rugby and football pitches.
The property will host a slew of British singletons when the show’s winter edition returns after three years.
Meanwhile, Love Island announced their new due diligence measures for 2023 on Friday ahead of the series in South Africa – and there are some big changes ahead.
ITV2 will ban the islanders’ social media activities during the show and offer enhanced training on how to behave in relationships after a controversial summer series.
