While Austria can expect temperatures of around 30 degrees over the weekend, it must also be prepared for hailstorms again.
Over the weekend, the eastern half of the country will remain under the influence of a high-altitude low centered on the Balkans. Until Sunday, there is a greater risk of showers and thunderstorms, especially in the east direction. At the start of the new week, the frontal system of a low pressure complex with a core between the British Isles and the Benelux countries will affect weather patterns and also cause showers and sometimes heavy thunderstorms in the west.
Of Saturday starts in the east with some residual clouds, in the southeast with some rain. Over the course of the day, new cumulus clouds and isolated, sometimes thunderous showers will spread across the northern plains from Waldviertel and Weinviertel. A short shower is also possible in the southeast. In the west there is little tendency to rain, from Vorarlberg to the Innviertel the sun dominates. Sometimes, however, the sun shines everywhere. In the east, strong winds will blow from the north directions at 21 to 29 degrees.
At the Sunday some cumulus clouds and short showers are moving in the east. From Vorarlberg to Upper Austria and East Tyrol, on the other hand, the chance of rain is low and the sun predominates. The wind blows from Upper Austria to Lake Constance moderately from the east, in the east sometimes quickly from the north. With 24 to 32 degrees it will be summer and hot.
33 degrees on Tuesday
Of Monday usually shows up on its sunny side in the east, but showers and thunderstorms are spreading from the west. The first rains can already be expected in Vorarlberg and the Upper Inn Valley in the early hours of the morning. This, along with reinforcements from the storm, spread eastward and reached the Waldviertel and Upper Styria at night. The few clouds in the far east, on the other hand, remain harmless. Partially strong westerly wind with highs of 22 to 32 degrees.
Of Tuesday starts with some remaining clouds and mainly in the east with the last rains. Inland in the Alps, there are still short, isolated showers possible in the first half of the day, however clouds continue to thin and at night there will still be widespread sunny weather. Only on the eastern part of the Danube is a strong westerly wind. The maximum values are between 26 and 33 degrees.
