Aura, the “speaker bot,” will soon welcome you to the Sphere in Las Vegas
Sphere Las Vegas is now home to an advanced humanoid robot named Aura, who greets and interacts with guests as the official “speaker bot.”

As if being the largest sphere on Earth and having giant LED screens inside and out wasn’t enough, the MSG Sphere has announced its next plan to take Las Vegas into the future with robots.
Sphere Entertainment introduced the world to Aura, the world’s most advanced humanoid robot, which will be permanently stationed in the arena when it launches this month.
According to David Dibble, CEO of MSG Ventures, five Aura robots greet guests as they enter the venue’s large atrium and are available to answer questions. The “Spokesbots” will fully show off their lifelike facial expressions and mobility.

Since the atriums are large enough to accommodate the Statue of Liberty or the Saturn V rocket, Dibble says MSG Entertainment chairman James L. Dolan wanted to add something that “helps explain the role of technology, science, etc. in the world.” to convey human evolution”. [and] in human endeavor.”
“Facial movements and recognition. I find it breathtaking; some people might find it scary, but everyone will find it fascinating,” Dibble told USA TODAY. “She sees you and as you move, she will follow you, she will stalk you, she will interact with you.”
Unlike carnival fortune-teller robots, Aura has voice memory recognition and can focus on one person speaking directly in front of her at a time when multiple people are present, Dibble said.
Dibble added that Aura will use artificial intelligence to move forward as it learns more about people through interactions with guests, but the company is taking AI “slowly to see how it develops.” Human lab technicians will accompany the robots as they “tell the story of humanity’s history of innovation, including Sphere,” to help maximize guests’ Sphere experience.
Aura will provide missing guests with directions within the venue, offer details about each day’s performances and answer questions about the Sphere’s engineering, technology and creative mission, the company said. The robot will also be Sphere’s brand ambassador and help manage digital platforms and social channels.
“Hello folks. Although I understand the most complex concepts in mathematics and science, it remains a mystery,” Aura said, according to the press release. “Your emotions, humor, and relationship with technology require further investigation, so you must come see me at Sphere. I look forward to meeting you and introducing you to the future of live entertainment in my new home.”
According to the company, each physical creation of a humanoid took three to four months to produce in early 2022.
Sphere Entertainment has already teased Aura on its social media platforms and even in a commercial that aired during the Oscars in March.
“Sphere is a storm of experiences. We want people to come in and feel like they’re being transported to other worlds or attractions. “Postcards from Earth” we believe we can do this and we thought we would have robots like this with us. “The Atrium would be suitable for this theme,” Dibble shared.
When does the MSG Sphere open?
The MSG Sphere will be officially launched to the public on September 29th with a series of 25 concerts featuring U2. Running until mid-December, “U2:UV Statt Baby Live at Sphere” celebrates the Irish band’s 1991 album “Attention Baby.”
“Most music venues are sports venues. They are built for sport – not for music. They’re not made for art,” U2’s Bono said in the Apple Music interview. “This building was built for immersive cinema and performance experiences.”

What is the first Sphere experience?
On October 6, The MSG Sphere will premiere a 360-degree experience titled “Postcard From Earth,” written and directed by Darren Aronofsky. The show is set to premiere as the first Sphere Experience.
Aronofsky posted the exclusive first-look video from inside Sphere on his Instagram page last week. His video shows a breathtaking preview of the 15,000 square meter exhibition space used for immersive experiences.
