Fifteen SIM card vending machines were installed on the Montreal subway this week at the initiative of Videotron subsidiary Fizz, a first in Quebec.
These machines will allow users to get a SIM card quickly and easily.
“Once they have their SIM card in hand, all the customer has to do is go online to fizz.ca to activate it and choose the package that suits them best,” he said.
Vending machines are available at Montmorency, Place des Arts, Radisson, Saint-Michel, Square Victoria, McGill, Bonaventure, Berri-UQAM, Jean-Talon, Peel, Côte-des-Neiges, Atwater, Guy-Concordia and Sherbrooke stations.
Although this is a provincial first, the concept is already popular in Europe.
