Calgary Flames assistant general manager Chris Snow is currently being kept alive for organ donation purposes.
His wife Kelsie Snow announced this on her X account on Thursday.

“Yesterday’s tests confirmed that Chris will not wake up. In his life, Chris donated his body for a clinical trial to help others. In death he will do the same. He is on life support while the organ donation is being organized. We are so proud of him,” the woman wrote.
Chris Snow is battling amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), commonly known as Lou Gehrig’s disease. On Wednesday, Kelsie Snow revealed that her lover was seeing his final hours.

The 42-year-old suffered a cardiac arrest on Tuesday. Despite the resuscitation maneuvers carried out to get his heart beating again, the temporary lack of oxygen caused irreversible brain damage.
In June 2019, Chris Snow was diagnosed with ALS, an incurable disease that increasingly paralyzes the muscles. The former journalist for the Boston Globe newspaper was also vice president of analytical data for the Flames.
