Floods: Here the waterways are monitored

High temperatures over the past few days and rain expected to fall this week have caused minor flooding of some waterways while others are being monitored.

This is particularly true of the Rivière du Nord towards Saint-Jérôme and the Rivière Ouareau at the head of the Dorwin waterfalls in Lanaudière, which emerged from their beds.

We’re talking about average floods. Water levels and currents in these locations will remain high for the next few days and the rain forecast for the next few days will result in further increases.

The Lac des Deux Montagnes also easily overflows in Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue and Terrasse-Vaudreuil, where there is talk of minor flooding.

In Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue the trend is rising, while in Terrasse-Vaudreuil the water levels are falling.

Smaller floods were also reported on Lake Maskinongé in Saint-Gabriel-de-Brandon, the Chaudière River in Saint-Lambert-de-Lauzon, the Mille Îles River in Deux-Montagnes, the Ottawa River in Ottawa and Rigaud Bay and on River Diable noted, North River near Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts, L’Assomption River in Joliette, and Black River in Sainte-Émélie-de-l’Energy.
