In the Brazilian state of Sao Paulo, the death toll from floods and landslides triggered by heavy rains has risen to 46.
In a statement from officials at State of Sao Pauloit was reported that the balance was made worse by heavy rains.
It has been reported that 46 people have lost their lives in the disaster so far and 40 people are missing.
And search and rescue efforts continue without interruption.
The State Department of Health also announced that 7 of those who remain hospitalized are in serious condition.
The National Institute of Meteorology (Inmet) of Brazil reports that it will continue to rain heavily.
It was reported that around 2,500 people were housed in schools and NGOs.
On the other hand, Venezuelan Foreign Minister Yvan Gil Posting on his Twitter account, he expressed his condolences to the Brazilian government for those killed in the floods and landslides, saying: “On behalf of Nicolás Maduro’s government, we offer our deepest condolences to the families of the victims. We want to express our solidarity with the Brazilian government.”
In the meantime, Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, announced in his post on his Twitter account yesterday, February 21, that he would visit the disaster area and said: “We will join forces with all state entities and take care of the injured in social solidarity. We will search for missing persons and restore road, energy and telecommunications connections in the area”.
