“He will start a nuclear thermal war!”: Florida driver accuses Putin of speeding in his Dodge Challenger, telling cops he is “crazy” about the prospect of nuclear war
- The driver was caught exceeding 50 mph in the 30 mph zone of the Palm Coast
- He told an MP that he was returning home after hearing about the threat of war
- “I was crazy here,” said the driver of the Dodge Challenger
- Russian President Vladimir Putin has launched an invasion of Ukraine
Footage from the body camera shows a Florida A driver told the lawmaker that Putin was guilty after running a stop sign with cops waiting at the intersection.
The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office stopped the man in Palm Coast on February 24 for driving at 50 miles per hour in a 30-mile zone, the video revealed.
But when officers stopped him, they heard it was Putin’s fault.
“To tell you the truth, I just found out that Putin is saying he will start a nuclear thermal war against the world,” the Florida driver said after being stopped.
I was trying to get back to my house to find out what was going on.
Florida man caught speeding in Palm Coast says MP Vladimir Putin guilty
The MP did not believe his first apology, asking him why he put a stop sign at 50 miles per hour
Initially, the man in the video told the police that he was trying to get the car out of “sports” mode.
“I just got this thing, okay, sir?” Said the driver, taking off his baseball cap behind the wheel of his white Dodge Challenger.
“I saw you make a stop sign, make a left turn and then press the accelerator,” the MP replied.
The driver said he was sorry, but changed his apology, pointing to Putin’s war in Ukraine as the reason for his speeding, which began on the day of the shooting.
“I freaked out here,” the driver said, reaching for his insurance.
Since then, Putin has raised nuclear tensions with the West when he put Russia’s nuclear arsenal, the world’s largest with more than 3,000 nuclear weapons, into combat readiness four days later.
UN human rights chief Michel Bachelet said Thursday that “all of humanity” is at risk from the growing nuclear threat.
