Florida judge throws out 15 year old TikTok star Ava Majurys stalking

Florida judge throws out 15-year-old TikTok star Ava Majury’s stalking case against classmate

A teenage TikTok star whose father shot and killed an 18-year-old stalker when he showed up at the family home in Florida armed with a shotgun had a stalking case that she brought to court against another boy.

Ava Majury, 15, appeared in a Naples court on Monday for a hearing in her stalking case against the classmate, whose age and name were not disclosed.

She claimed the boy followed her around the school and communicated with the 18-year-old stalker.

The boy insisted he was trying to help her and warn her about the other obsessed fan, Eric Justin.

Majury applied for a personal protection order against the classmate and told the court on Monday that she had dropped out of school and was suffering from nightmares.

“What she loves — what she needs more than anything as a teenager — is to play soccer with her friends at school,” said Lanny Davis, Majury’s attorney.

“But the proven fear is that she stayed at home because she was scared.”

The lawyer for the student accused of stalking argued that he was always trying to help Majury and never threatened her.

Judge Kyle S. Cohen dismissed the case, saying Majury’s attorneys had not produced enough evidence against her classmate to issue a restraining order for protection against stalking.

Outside the Collier County Circuit Courthouse, Majury said she was disappointed with the decision but planned to move on with her life.

“Although today didn’t go the way we wanted, I’m glad I got my truth out and my story was told,” she said.

Majury rose to fame at the age of 13 when videos of her dancing on TikTok went viral and she soon had more than a million followers.

Majury raised tens of thousands from her social media, raking in $1,700 from a promotional post.

Her social media activities were supported by her parents, who told The New York Times in February that she was “up and coming.”

Still, nearly three-quarters of her followers were male, and requests and messages were sometimes inappropriate.

One of her followers, Eric Justin, 18, of Ellicott City, Maryland, repeatedly contacted Majury — who initially responded as she did with most of her fans. When he started requesting explicit material, she blocked him.

Last July 10, Justin showed up at the Majury family home in Naples and blew open the front door with his shotgun.

Majury’s father, Rob, 51, a retired New Jersey police lieutenant, chased Justin on foot.

When Justin returned a short time later, Rob Majury told him to drop the gun, he said. When Justin refused and pointed his gun at him, the ex-officer shot him dead.

No charges were brought; an investigation is ongoing.

Ava deleted her main TikTok account, but her Instagram page is still active.

It was last updated five weeks ago, with Majury describing the damage the Justin case has done to her family.
