A Florida woman is making waves on TikTok after revealing how she was flagged by cast members at Disney World in Orlando for wearing an inappropriate top – but was given a free t-shirt to cover up. A clip describing her “fashion crime” currently has 7 million views on TikTok.

“So yeah, I just experienced being given a dress code at Disney,” reads the caption for the clip, uploaded by user Tori Cannella, 23, on Sunday.

The incriminating clip shows the Disney-goer strolling through the Orlando theme park’s Magic Kingdom in denim cut-off shorts. Above, she wears a long-sleeved black crop top that is fastened with just two sets of leather ties and barely hides her bust.

The footage ends with the guest following a clerk to a store where she was given a free Walt Disney t-shirt to wear over her allegedly non-park clothing. It was one of Disney’s 2020 retro t-shirts, reportedly priced at $24.99.

That penalty was particularly light because Disney World “reserves the right to refuse entry or remove any person wearing clothing that is deemed inappropriate or clothing that may detract from the experience of other guests.” the website.

Disney defines “inappropriate” couture as clothing with obscene language or graphics, excessively torn garments, offensive tattoos, and clothing that touches or drags on the floor. They also ban “clothing that inherently exposes excessive portions of the skin that may be considered unsuitable for a family setting.”

Meanwhile, according to the guidelines, “layered clothing will be searched upon entry”.

The TikTok commentariat found the dress code violation a bit Mickey Mouse.

“I’m sorry, but they were enough with this one,” sympathized a defender. “There is nothing wrong with your original top. I’ve seen far worse.”

“This is literally probably one of the least revealing crop tops you can wear. . . At least the shirt was free,” wrote another.

“I’d dress up on purpose so I could get a free shirt,” one TikTok mouseketeer quipped.

Others, however, sided with the Disney fashion police, with one critic writing, “It’s not a ‘bad’/’flashy’ crop top, but I could tell they wanted you to wear something else if you’re up Going for rides and accidentally flashing 8 year old glasses. ”

“I mean… valid. Wear what you want but if you go on a roller coaster your girls will get kicked out lol,” surmised another.

In a similar tailoring fiasco in June, a Disney World visitor claimed that cast members forced her to put on a gift shop T-shirt because her strapless crop top wasn’t “appropriate.”
