Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl took the time to thank his fans by sharing a touching handwritten note on Twitter on Tuesday.
“Hey it’s been a long time… Now that we’ve gotten back from our first shows I felt like I had to write to you guys and thank you all for being there for us,” he wrote in a post that almost became 261,000 views since it was shared at 11:30am Tuesday.
“Every night when I see you sing, I sing louder. When I see you scream, I scream even louder. When I see your tears, I cry too. And when I see your joy, it makes me happy.”
“But I see you… And it feels so good to see you and to experience all these emotions together. Because we’ve always done it together.”
“Again and again. See you soon.”
Foo Fighters will be performing on the Plains of Abraham this summer on July 8th at the Festival d’été de Québec. This is a long-awaited return of the American formation to Quebec after their legendary four-song performance Under the Storm in July 2015 and their unforgettable reunion with Quebecers in 2018.
The band will also perform at Bluefest in Ottawa on July 12th.
