Two expulsions

A few times things got heated. Guard Jean-Antoine Dean Rios was deemed excessively rough, resulting in a 25-yard penalty and ejection.

Two games later it was the Vert & Or who sinned. Defensive defender Marius Massé-Vancelette was substituted. Both players will automatically receive a game ban. Dean-Rios will therefore miss the semi-final game against the Concordia Stingers.

Vert & Or breaks the ice

The Vert & Or scored their first points in the 3rd quarter with a two-yard touchdown pass to Kevin Morin.

Three safety touchdowns

The Rouge et Or looked to bounce back from a resounding loss to the University of Montreal Carabins, but didn’t have a great first half. Kicker Vincent Blanchard had six punts.

After a first quarter that ended 2-0, Rouge et Or scored the decisive goal with a one-yard sneak from Arnaud Desjardins.

A good punt return by Guillaume Cauchon, a pass to Isaac Gaillardetz and a tough tackle against Sherbrooke paved the way for the only touchdown of the first half.

The Vert & Or allowed three safety touchdowns. Positioned at the Rouge et Or’s 6 line after a first down, the Vert & Or appeared to be well on their way to breaking the ice, but first-year cornerback Jordan Lessard intercepted in the end zone , his fourth of the season, to curb the visitors’ threat.
