Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov called the results of the new round of negotiations between Russia and Ukraine, held in Istanbul, Turkey on Wednesday, “a positive step forward”.

Lavrov pointed out that this is not yet the “final result”. the fact that the Ukrainian side “confirmed the need to guarantee the non-nuclear status” and the need to “guarantee their security outside the framework of the Atlantic Alliance” can be considered “significant progress”.held.
