Terry DiMonte narrowly escaped. The former CHOM star presenter, who left the station in 2021 after 37 years at the mic, had various complications after undergoing heart surgery in Vancouver last month. “It will be a while before he feels like he used to,” his wife Jessica Dionne DiMonte wrote on Instagram.
Usually more active on social media, Terry DiMonte hadn’t posted any news for a few weeks. His wife took over the Instagram account [@terrydimonte] of the popular animator to report on his health.
“On January 3rd he had a scheduled surgery at Vancouver General Hospital. [le couple y a déménagé à l’été 2021] to replace a valve, she writes. The operation went very well, but unfortunately – as is sometimes the case with major operations – there were serious postoperative complications that kept him in the hospital for a long time. »
According to his wife, Terry DiMonte is getting better every day, and he’s even planning to quickly take over the mic on the podcast Standing By: The Terry and Ted Podcast, which he co-hosts with Ted Bird.
